Electric Chain Saws and Chain Saw
Accessories
This webiste is your source for buying the latest in electric chainsaws from top makers like Makita
Ryobi, Mcculloch and Black and Decker.
Whether you
are cleaning up the yard, cutting fire wood for the winter to come or sculpting ice, electric chainsaws or in most
cases more than adequate to get even medium duty jobs done. The days when electric powered saws were quite
underpowered are long gone.
Often people believe they need the
power and versability of a gas powered saw. A thing or two to remember is that if you live in a residential area
often the noise they generate will draw complaints from neighbors. Another thing to keep in mind is that they are
heavy and considerably more expensive than their electric counterparts. (If you've used one all day you'll know
what we mean.)
Another issue to consider is
maintenace. Electric powered saws require less maintenance than gas and are safer to use. Plus you don't have to
spend so much time mixing gas and oil, storing it and buying it.
With electric powered chain saws you just plug them in and you're
good to go. Although you are tethered to the length of the drop cord you buy, if you spend a little on a
power cord with a reel you can easily get several hundred feet and thus the flexibility to get most chores taken
care of. Although many site a cord as a safety issue, worries about cutting it with the saw shouldn't deter you.
The many benefits that an electric saw offers more than makes up for this slight inconveninece.
Prices will vary on makers. You can get some chainsaws for as cheap as $50 and some as expensive as
$250.
